Christian Fournier is Director, Portfolio Manager and Member of the Investment Committee of Authentic Asset Management Inc. in Montreal. He is a lead manager of the AUTHENTIC Event Driven Fund L.P.

Mr. Fournier has 29+ years of investment experience and is a CFA Charterholder.

Prior to joining AUTHENTIC in 2020, Mr. Fournier was Managing Director, Public Markets at the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP) leading investment professionals in Montreal and New York. A primary focus was portfolio optimization for generating absolute returns. He developed and actively managed innovative portfolios from 2007-2019 including the Value Protection Fund, the volatility strategy, and a tactical portfolio of event driven strategies with dynamic macro hedging.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Fournier was Vice-President of proprietary trading at Casgrain in Montreal, Strategist & Portfolio Manager at the Ministry of Finance of Quebec, and Trader & Money Market Manager at Trust Prêt et Revenu in Quebec City.

Mr. Fournier holds a Certificate of Law from Laval University, an MA in Economics from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Laval University.
